About Us

The Newton Community Children’s Choir (NCCC) was founded by Norma Preheim and is entering its 29th season. The choir seeks to inspire students’ passion for singing. Members are provided the opportunity to experience excellence in the learning and performance of choral music.  Mrs. Preheim’s granddaughter, Jill Siebert, is our Artistic Director!

In addition to concerts, the choir regularly performs at events throughout the community, providing enrichment for the arts in Newton, Kansas and surrounding areas.

Rehearsals take place every Monday evening from 6:30-8:00 PM during the school year. Rehearsals are held in the choral room at the Fine Arts Building on the campus of Bethel College. For a list of rehearsals and performances, refer to the “Schedules” tab.

The NCCC is a tuition-based choir. Tuition pays for each singer’s music as well as supplies, instrumentalists, performance facilities, etc.

Tuition for the year is $220 and can be paid as a lump sum or divided into a payment plan. Discounts and scholarships are offered. For more information on payments or scholarships, please refer to the “Handbook” tab.

It really comes down to less than $20 a month for weekly 1 1/2 hour group voice lessons.
