The Newton Community Children’s Choir (NCCC) was founded by Norma Preheim and is entering its 32nd season. The choir seeks to inspire students’ passion for singing. Members are provided the opportunity to experience excellence in the learning and performance of choral music. Mrs. Preheim’s granddaughter, Jill Siebert, is our Artistic Director!
In addition to concerts, the choir regularly performs at events throughout the community, providing enrichment for the arts in Newton, Kansas and surrounding towns, and some years takes a trip beyond the Newton area.
Rehearsals take place every Monday evening from 6:30-8:00 PM during the school year. Rehearsals are held in the choral room at the Fine Arts Building on the campus of Bethel College. For a list of rehearsals and performances, refer to the “Schedules” tab or find more information in the Handbook.
Tuition pays for each singer’s music as well as staff salaries, supplies, instrumentalists, performance/rehearsal facilities, etc.
Tuition for the year is $360 and can be paid as a lump sum or divided into a payment plan. Discounts and scholarships are offered. For more information on payments or scholarships, please refer to the “Handbook” tab.
